Come ring in the New Year with a "midnight meal" in our romantic fire lit atmosphere.
Our very popular event begins with appetizers and wine or beer beginning approximately 8:30pm. Enjoy conversation with your fellow guests in The Keeping Room before adjoining into the Dining Room for a delicious home cooked meal. As you finish dessert, raise a glass of champagne to ring in the New Year at midnight.
No need to worry about traveling so late as you just need to retire to your room!
Enjoy a relaxing morning where we let you sleep in a bit and serve a late breakfast before you need to return to the real world.
The Keeping and the Dining rooms are entirely lit by candle light while the fires are glowing in the 2 main hearths.

All rooms are double occupancy (rates listed below each room description).

Begin your new life together amidst the charm of this pre-Revolutionary homestead.
The Daniel Rust House is available for your intimate wedding or commitment ceremony.
Due to the historic nature and size of our home, attendance must be 25 people or less but the options are many.
You can have your ceremony performed in front of our 1748 hearth ablaze with a roaring fire. Or if warmer weather is your preference, choose a site on our two scenic acres—under the apple trees, in our St. Francis garden where your canine family members can be in attendance (how cool is that?), or under our huge sugar maple by the patio.
Let your imagination soar . . . perhaps a ceremony in colonial garb? How about an afternoon tea or a picnic by the orchard? We will work with your caterer to help meet your dreams.
Sleeping accommodations for eight (8) peopleare available; two more people can be added for a triple occupancy in two of our larger rooms if needed.
We will serve a full country breakfast with champagne for your overnight guests.
Bridal room receives a complimentary bottle of champagne with a fruit/cheese platter.
RATES & CANCELLATION POLICY:
$100 per hour for use of property. Rate begins upon caterer’s arrival and ends upon completion of final cleanup.
All rooms are at our normal rates.
50% deposit upon booking with a three-week cancellation policy (four weeks if event is to take place on any major holiday).
Cancellation of less than 3-4 weeks results in a full room charge to be taken out of deposit or charged to credit card depending upon fees due.
Arrive to an arrangement of fresh flowers, champagne, and a cheese/fruit platter. Relax in front of the fire or enjoy our gardens. Then take a short drive to The Altnaveigh Inn in Storrs, for fine dining for two.
After a restful night's sleep in one of our period-decorated rooms, you will awake to the aroma of a full country breakfast.
Our Romance Package includes: One night, double occupancy with full breakfast, flowers, champagne and a $50.00 gift certificate towards dinner at The Altnaveigh Inn.

DINNER & A MOVIE
Spend an evening the old-fashioned way with dinner and a movie! This package includes dinner for two at Coventry's historic Bidwell Tavern, known for its vast array of beers on tap along with a complete dinner menu. After dinner, drive just three miles to the Mansfield Drive-In Theater and enjoy the only drive-in theater left in Eastern Connecticut.
A full country breakfast will be waiting for you after you spend a comfortable night in one of our historic rooms. After check-out, you can travel back to the drive-in grounds for the Sunday morning flea market (entrance fee not included.)
Price includes one night, double occupancy with full country breakfast, $25 coupon for dinner for two at Bidwell Tavern, and two tickets to the drive-in movie. Our Dinner and a Movie package is available from April 1st to the last weekend in September only.

Senior Week Day Special
If you are retired and loving the traveling life, we have the place for you to stay at the right price—a 15% senior discount all year, for any stay Monday through Thursday. If you bring your dog and he/she is over seven years old we will give your pet the same discount!
Sorry, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve are excluded from weekday specials.
MAKE BIRTHDAY MEMORIES
Package 1: Treat your special someone to a birthday getaway.
Upon arrival, there will be a cheese/fruit platter and a bottle of wine to greet you.
We can recommend a local restaurant for dinner but you’ll return to the B&B where your homemade birthday dessert will be served.
Depending upon your birthday month, dessert will be served fireside, on the patio or grounds, or in your room if you prefer.
A full country breakfast will be served in the morning, with champagne.
Rates: $160-$225 double occupancy, depending upon room.
Package 2: Include friends and/or family in your celebration (three more rooms available at double occupancy) and we will decorate and host your dessert party when you return from dinner.
Room rates same as package 1 above.
If your friends/family are local and do not need to sleep over, invite them to join you for the dessert party at $25 per person. (Limit up to 10 people) Per-person fee applied directly to your account.
Dessert party includes: homemade cake/treats, coffee/tea, dessert wine, and decorations.

A weekend for Grandmothers/mothers/granddaughters to come together and share their memories, life experiences, family history and future dreams.
Sit hearthside in our 1740 Keeping Room, stroll our 2 acres and country lane, relax in one of our garden settings or play board games in our family room while you strengthen your family ties.
Includes: Tea party, a welcome basket with journals and camera. Dessert after your return from dinner and a full country champagne breakfast served before departure.
This package is for Ladies 7 years old and above please!
Rates: $120-$185 room rate/double occupancy plus $30 per person attending. Third party no charge for cot in room.
